Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using wisp (the “Service”), operated by minimaleffort.co, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

wisp provides proxy email addresses and phone numbers that forward messages to a destination you control. Features and limits depend on your subscription plan and may change over time.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under it. You must provide accurate information and be at least 16 years old (or the age of majority where you live).

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• break the law or facilitate illegal activity;
• send spam, phishing, or unsolicited bulk messages;
• harass, threaten, defraud, or impersonate others;
• evade bans, verification systems, or law-enforcement processes; or
• disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, and we cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly) until cancelled. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the applicable fees, including automatic renewals. You can cancel at any time from Settings; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Prices may change with notice.

Phone numbers. Plan prices are the base cost and cover email aliases; your plan determines how many phone numbers you may attach. Each attached phone number is billed separately as a monthly add-on at the rate shown when you create it (which varies by country), using your saved payment method. Adding a number mid-cycle is charged pro-rata immediately; releasing a number stops its billing and credits the unused remainder of the month toward your next invoice. If an add-on payment fails, forwarding for your phone numbers may be suspended until payment succeeds; numbers may be released if payment is not restored.

Fair use. Phone-number forwarding is subject to monthly fair-use limits per number (currently 100 forwarded text messages and 60 forwarded voice minutes per calendar month). Past the limit, inbound messages continue to arrive in your wisp inbox, but forwarding to your personal number pauses until the limit resets on the 1st of the month.

6. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if required to protect the Service or comply with law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends and associated data may be deleted.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that messages will always be delivered, that phone numbers or aliases will remain available, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, minimaleffort.co will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the new effective date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
